Captured emotions.........

To capture a mood, a time and a place, to evoke emotions; all of that happens when I look at this water colour study of my twin boys. Now thirteen years of age and taller than me and their Dad, it seems moments ago when they were two and tiny teeth were popping out everywhere.

For those of you that know the boys, it's time to play, 'whose who?'

It was the 90's and I fell in love with this man. James my now husband recently received this as a birthday gift.

Expression Pure!

More live art in worship, but this time with relationships as a central theme I designed a true collaborative experience of making art. Three canvases, four artists; Tonia Burgess, Alannah Anderson and Ross Geidermann and myself, all working in unison on all three canvases simultaneously! No time to be precious, it was all about letting go of control, give and take, and pure expression. Of course there was lots of preparation; a colour palette, research, meetings with the other artists, sketches, but there is nothing like that feeling of the 'blank canvas' with a twenty minute time constraint for the pieces to be completed as an act of worship in themselves.

Sketches for 'Three Stranded Cord' Ecclesiastes 4:12

Loving the incidental colour from a well used drawing board.

The final pieces, sold on the night.
